Did you stay up way too late after a night of partying and then see dark circles under your eyes the day after? That’s actually not the only reason you might have dark circles. I just always seem to have that dark area under my eyes and sadly, it’s not because I’m partying all the time. While it might be a genetic thing, you can cover them up with makeup, thank goodness.
Cat Nap is one of the the cutest undereye makeup product names out there. It’s a South Korean brand, and true to form has a cute name and pastel packaging.

Note: this is NOT a concealer–it’s a “brightener.” It’s somewhat similar to the concept of a highlighter (check out cult favorite YSL Touche Éclat Highlighter), which people do use for dark circles and to make you look more “awake.” I did like Cat Nap at first because unlike some concealers, it has an orangey tone which worked better than the light, beige-y concealers I was choosing to counteract the dark circles.

But–I didn’t think the coverage was great. It was a little too subtle–because it’s not officially a concealer.
Luckily, I did find another concealer that was similarly colored but worked better and was pretty inexpensive also (less than $6 USD)! NYX Professional Makeup Dark Circle Concealer has a secret weapon in it–it’s also a CC cream, so it has that ability to cover up more than one without that ingredient. You can apply it with a fan brush if you have time, or with your fingers. It’s more like a soft balm instead of a liquid, which makes it stick to your skin better than liquid concealers.

Tips:
- For extra measure, after you apply a light layer of NYX Professional Makeup Dark Circle Concealer, you can also apply a regular light-colored concealer on top.
- If you’re going to try a concealer, go to the store to try it on first. If you’ve got an NYX Professional Makeup retail store in your area, even better. Ulta also sells this brand.
Thanks Pam! I am looking forward to trying this…nice to play on the eyes during these masks days.
